Id like to build something different so Im thinking about a technical like or similar to the ones used in Africa or the Middle East and im wondering what pick up truck or land rover would make for a good technical and what armament would be a good choice as well

those are some good ideas frenchy but what about armement options other than the 23mm guns?

also I was looking at the parts breakdown on hobby search and i was thinking about the pickup with the ZPU mount build the pick up with out the cab roof and doors to make it look more like a technical what do you think?

DEF Models does a BMP-1 turret for the bed of the Land Cruiser kit, and Blast does a rocket pod for the HiLux.

You could look for other kit that have Recoil-less Rifles and rocket launchers, e.g. the Trumpeter Type 63 107mm Rocket launcher (it comes with a jeep) or AFV Club's M38A1C with M40 Recoil less rifle. There are plenty of weapon sets with heavy machine guns and ATGM's in them that should do. Hope this helps.
