Thanks for the Abrams issue, fixed it...

I guess you missed my meaning or something. The DWFK adapter is still attached to the wrong place and should not be on an ODS tank at all. I have put a square around the part I am talking about on your picture.

The rest looks awesome, but this inaccuracy ruins the overall historical effect for me.

If you hadn't pointed that out, I'd never have noticed, because my knowledge of that AFV is very limited.
All I see, is a truly awesome build, with an excellent painting and weathering job.
In my world, this is a masterpiece, and you should be very proud of your work.
Thanks for sharing

I'm not trying to insult anyone but it drives me nuts when people nit pick everything ! The model wasn't built for a museum or a historical article or an accuracy contest it was built to showcase the truck and it's a great build .not everyone has the time to research every nut and bolt on every vehicle they build !

First off, I agree it is a great build overall and it looks awesome, and I stated so. I disagree with the rest of your statements though.

I thought one of the points of these forums is to discuss our builds here and point out inaccuracies, build issues, problems, etc.? If we just give "atta boy, great job" responses to everything, it helps no one. I will always give and welcome constructive criticism on my builds as well.

I think you are totally off on the above statement. If he was not concerned with portraying historical accuracy, he would not have bothered to buy aftermarket T156 tracks (the type predominantly seen in ODS) and replaced the perfectly good T158 tracks that come with the kit. He also got aftermarket decals to make it an ODS Abrams. I am pretty sure he is attempting to make the tank and truck historically accurate for the time period they were in service. There is no harm in helping him out in that respect, especially since it is a relatively easy correction.

Fantastic Build! Weathering is amazing! If you can deploy the pusher wheel on the tractor , this will make it more in keeping with the heavy Abrams tank, operating manual that I have clearly gives the specification load handling capacity of the tractor and the trailer. The M911 and its trailer was not designed to handle the heavier Abrams and this is one reason the M1070 replaced it. However it can can still manage to haul the Abrams during the last year of its service. Hauling the MBT's will require the pusher wheel deployed especially on the on-road operation.

Now I'm ready to throw away my HobbyFan M911!
