Does anyone know if there is a model of the Alvis Stormer in styrene in either 1/48 or 1/35?

The new Imperial Hovertank from Star Wars Rogue One was built on the Alvis Stormer chassis, and I think it would be a fun scratch-build...but I'd like a hull first.

Not totally sure but I think Stormer was just a job specific version of the CVR(T) series. Scimitar, Stormer, Spartan, Samaritan and a bunch of others. I think that there was a US variant of the FV103. All had the same chassis and running gear so don't limit yourself.

The Stormer is a progression of the CVR(T) line. It is bigger overall in both length, width & height to other CVR(T) variants which allows for an extra road wheel either side. The only kit in production that I know of is the Accurate Armour resin kit.

No, the US never used the FV103. You may be thinking of the similar looking US M114 recon vehicle.

Yup, as above.

For serious kit bashing plastic as below will be a bit cheaper & easier to wrangle... although more road wheels & track may be required

AFV Club Model Kit - CVR(T) FV107 Scimitar Tank - 1:35 - AF35013
AFV Club British CVR(T) FV101 Scorpion Reference AF35S-02 which was also available as Revell kit 03001

No 1/48th CVT(T)'s I know of, good luck

Accurate Armour do a Shielder in 1:35 which is a flat-bed Stormer with a mine-system ont he back.

Note the lockers are the front - this is the vehicle used as the basis of the imperial vehicle.

If I remember correctly, the "Stormer" was modified to American specifications and then tested for use by the USMC during the early eighties. I believe that it was in competition with the LAV series of vehicles. One may find a picture or two of them in the MERDC gray desert scheme.

If it truly is the basis of that, you will see one in 1/12th or there abouts for the toy version of the 6 inch action figure line. And with Revell having the model license in the west and Dragon and Bandai in Asia who knows what kits are coming in the next few years.
