I started on my hobby boss 1/35 St. chamond. I was not happy with the fit on many of the small parts. They pieces were connected to the sprue in some illogical ways making them akward to get clean fits. Any ways here is the building process. Now on to primer and paint later this wek

Good work. I build the earlier release a couple of years ago and i'd have to agree with your observations about fit and finish. I found the suspension to be very fiddly to build and not much in the way of positive locators.

Nice start to this beast. I have this kit also, but have not built it yet so I am glad to see a build log. The hull looks like it has some nice detail especially the rivets and bolts. This should be fun to paint and weather because of the abuse they took and the length of service they saw without outward maintenance.

The detail is there definitely. its the fit issues that suck.
I am a little sacred to paint the 4 color camo. I started it but its in the ugly stage. I think it will turn out quite well. I am plan on beating it up quite a bunch.

Coincidentally, I'm building the Takom version. It, too, has fit issues in its complicated suspension. I've had to do a couple of ad hoc modifications just to get everything to reasonably line up--minor changes, mind you, but changes nevertheless. By comparison I'd have to say that I like the Hobby Boss version better, based on the pictures. No PE in the Takom kit, no spotlight, and no detail on the underside of the hull other than panel lines and rivets. Interesting tank, though. I definitely want to see the finished product! nice work so far.

That stinks about the takom version. This too had crazy fit issues on the suspension. not lined up together and i ended up snipping off connect plus and glueing thing ad hoc. It looks fine but still. Also the under carriage is very complex and has lots of detail.
