Good work. I'm just finishing the same kit.
The instructions stating this is an Irish Civil war tank are wrong. It's a British tank used during the Irish war of independence 1919-21.
Our civil war was after that and no tanks were used. The British either took them home or scrapped them before they left.
Good blog too. Look forward to seeing your Tiger. I don't have the Rinaldi books but I'll take a look at them if I get to Telford to Scale Model World. The example I'm building is A340 in County Clare and it's incredibly dirty. As far as I know all the tanks used in Ireland had served on the Western Front and I'm not sure if they were repainted.

Amazing job Brett! Having recently returned to armour modelling, this beauty is definitely next on my to do list. If it looks half as good as your effort, I will be pleased! Just got to pump up the mojo and do the tracks on the Asuka/Tasca "Easy Eight" glowering at me from the bench first. Doh!
