Hello folks,
Hoping for a bit of guidance on track choices and the confusing world of T-54/55 variants.
I'd started working on an T-54a (Trumpeter 00340) and was putting the running gear together and had a set of Resin tracks from Masterclub (MC135049CL) that I had planned on using as they were for the T-54/55 however the links seem completely out of shape for the drive sprocket.
A bit of initial research seems to suggest I need an alternative sprocket however I do have a couple of other T-55 and T-62 kits in the stash so happy to use the tracks elsewhere but just need a bit of advice on which kits they suit best?
Many thanks

Hi,
The product code you have just shared is for the Rmsh track links which are not really for T-54As so I would leave it for a modernised or late T-55, -62 or -72.
For your T-54A you should use Omsh type tracks.
Regards,
Adam

What you want to use are, the MASTER CLUB MC135048CL OMSh Tracks...
Hope this helps, and let us know how you're doing with your build!

Thanks both - that explains a lot and I'll have to check out the OMSH tracks and pop the RMSH onto a late T-62.
I'll happily share my build progress as I'm planning on trying out some damage techniques as I'm hoping to build something of a Africa wars veteran.

Great! There are certainly LOTS of different possibilities for all of those African conflicts! Especially PAINT SCHEMES!!!
