I was wondering if they had blind folded the dog before they threw it out of the plane, cause if they didn't it probably would of died of a heart attack or something, cause I've been to a hog butchering place one time, and I seen where some of the hogs that came to before they slit their throats, and they seen the ones ahead of them getting it, that they got so scared they died just before they could put the knife to them, and when that happens they haft to mark them and throw them away, but animals do get frighten, and I would think that this dog would never trust a human again. Now I'm a big dog lover, and I know my male dog would never be able to handle anything like that, and that dog had to be one great loyalist to them troops to stick with them, especially after getting thrown out of a plane by somebody in a green uniform.

straight edge dogs were dropped out the a/c with parachutes on during ww2 there is a famous story of one serving in the paras after the war it went back to its owners and never really settled down until it was re-united with it's old army handler who dropped with it BTW the dickens medal is the animal equivelent of the Victora Cross.
also recently on tv a feature was shown on a sky diving dog it was a little jack russel and it's owner had a specail harness made for it so it could jump with him they flimed him doing a jump and he loved every minute of it
