Help!

I've used Fruil tracks in the past and done just fine. But I find myself working on the tracks for the SdKfz 251 and SdKfz 11, both similar types where the tracks are "locked" in place by the track pad piece.

It's turned into a nightmare. The assembly is nearly impossible and the track pads keep popping off.

Any suggestions on making this assembly easier and more effective for this type of two part track?
