In a logical move after releasing the SU-85 and SU-122 with full interior, MiniArt announces that the engine and transmission will be available as an independent kit.

Having built the SU-122 this is a really good set. (And a sensible one, too.) Too bad they did not provide the wire for the base kit (Not that it's difficult to get wire.)

A general question on this engine, am I right in thinking the tank engine was a Russian version of the Liberty engine, it looks very similar. If so this engine "could" be the base for Liberty engined British tanks ?????? Yes/No.

I wonder if it will fit the DML kits?

Probably, with a few modifications. But then again, it might just pop right in, too.
I wouldn't be too awfully afraid to try it, myself!!!
Something to consider, if one were to use this new MINIART Engine/Transmission kit: You'd need to build up or get an aftermarket(?) Engine Bay, unless the Engine/Transmission were used just to see something through the Engine Ventilation Gratings...
Isn't this the same Engine/Transmission set-up that was used on T-34s AND T-44s?

The sprue shots show the fuel and oil tanks in the engine compartment and the front bulkhead are included in the set. So it looks like a complete engine compartment is there.

Now here is an accessory for a dio I had planned on building for some time! The detail looks first-class and should prove really useful for a number of repair shop or battle-damaged T34s!

Thanks for making me aware of that fact, Gino. Sorry, didn't pay much attention to the sprue shots-
Question:
Will this Engine & Transmission fit the MINIART T44..? I REALIZE that the box-art specifically reads: "T-34"... IF the Engine & Transmission in this new upgrade kit actually DO fit the MINIART T-44, does the T-44 already have an "Engine Bay" included in the kit? I forget...
