They look nicely done.. I wonder if they will do a whole line of track sets?

Maybe re-boxed AFV CLUB? The brand is included in a couple of DEF conversion sets for M48/60, if I recall correctly.

Hyun Jin Kim, owner of DEF Models, said they are his work.. and I believe someone on FB said that Academy helped him with their injection moulding facilities.. but not sure about that.. but they are not re-boxed.

Sprue layout in general looks the same as AFV club but they don't include the T-156 type center guides.

I'm already searching for a long time for those AFVclub tracks. So I'm glad to see someone else is coming with this set. However, I have had the bronco tracks but they don't fit the sprocket from the Dragon Aim kit...

Sean,
Why would they include the T-156 center guides, that were shaped like a tuning fork? That style of center guide were not used on the T-158 series of track.
Now if you are talking about the solid triangular center guides that were found on the original T-158 track, then I would agree, especially if a person wanted to build an ODS M1A1 HA or either a HA or HC, serving in CONUS, Europe, Korea or in the Balkans during the 90's...

Hi John,
the sprue photos in the link show T-156 center guides and the box top explains they're intended for the Korean K1 series. What I was saying was really in response to Russels post, that the DEF sprues look to have a similar layout to the AFV club sprues but can't be re-boxed AFV club because the AFV club set doesn't have the T-156 center guides.

Based on the below pics, they are actually T158LL tracks with the skeletal center guide teeth for an Abrams.
They are also nothing like the AFV Club tracks since the outer rubber pads, end connectors, and center guide teeth are all separate pieces. AFV Club's tracks are one piece with just the end connectors as separate pieces.
Based on this design, it would be easy for them to make T156 tracks by replacing the square outer pads with ones that have the angled raised sections on them.

If these are in any way like/kind and quality of the tracks they temporarily included in their USMC A1 ABV conversion kit... then I will grab a set and try to fit it to the most complicated M1A1 build I can find.
to be clear...I was bored one weekend and built All the tracks in All my kits.... and I enjoyed the DEF tracks the best. (even better than Meng tracks)

Sean,
No issues here as I understand now what you were talking about with the old style center guides. I was at work when I originally posted and could not get to the MMZone via the work network...
Actually Gino, both the inner and outer pads would require replacement to convert the DEF set to T-156. The T-158 has the track pad bolt on the outer portion of the inner trackpad. the T-156 inner pad was a square solid block of rubber. That would be an interesting thought for some company to produce a set of track that could be assembled as T-156 or T-158/158LL.

I just bought that kit, so thank you very much for mentioning that! Cheers.

It would be fun if they release it with worn pads also so the tracks look a little used... But these look really nice.. Any release date yet?
