Is that dozer in the back a D9 like MENG's kit, or is that something even bigger? The top part with the windows looks different somehow.

Oh, OK.. so they're basically the same size, just with different driver's compartments?

Thanks for the help

Could it be the unmanned version of the D9 called Black Thunder ?

The Black Thunder is fitted with cameras and remote actuators, and can operate unmanned or with a driver

Maybe, there is a difference at the rear left corner of the cabin though. There seems to be some kind of open shelf in Hishams picture (to the left of the telephone/power pole) and on the Black Thunder (Frenchy's picture) there is a closed box instead. Could be different versions though ....

The resolution of Hisham's picture is not high enough for us to see the roof-mounted antennas of the Black Thunder... but maybe there aren't any there if you're right Robin

Here's another view of an IDF D9N that appears to be a good match for Hisham's picture, with a kind of mounting bracket in lieu of the "box" on the Black Thunder :

the D9 called Black Thunder?

It's a common mistake due to a wrongly translated name. The Hebrew name used by the IDF is "Ra'am HaShachar" ("Thunder of Dawn") and not "Ra'am HaShachor" ("Black Thunder").

I agree by the way, it does look like a D9N, which is the most common version used by the IDF.

Thanks for all the info, guys... I didn't realize there were several different variants of the D9.. this gives MENG the chance to "milk" more kits out of the D9 they got, instead of just stopping at two

D9L/N/R - all used by the IDF.
