Dragon's new Panther G command version kit feature a mantlet design I've never seen in any reference. It is very similar to the semi-cylindrical mantlet on early G and late A, except there is a raised reinforcing ridge to either side of gun. The command tank kit otherwise seeem to represent an early Panther G, with no crew compartment heater tower, no flame damping exhaust, and option for the early idler wheel identical to those on Panther A. But no zimmeret.
Does anyone know whether the mantlet with raised reinforcing ridge tend to appear on earlier or later G?

This mantlet is known as the reinforced mantlet (as distinct from the chin mantlet), and was fitted on a lot (if not most) befehls panther G's. This type of mantlet tended to be on the 'earlier' type of Panther G, you didn't see the reinforced mantlet once they transitioned to the chin type mantlet.
