With so many Miniart Horsey's on the market...some also from ICM..Tamiya as well..a great subject would be of Sgt.Reckless.
You see, Sgt.Reckless was the only Horse to make Sgt in the US.Marines. During the Korean war "she" was assigned to Recoilless Rifle Platoon, Anti-Tank Company, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division...as a pack horse..carrying recoilless Ammo.
Look her up, interesting story. Better yet...build her..stand her next to a knocked out Korean T-34/85.

Is that actually a horse, or a pony? Looks really small for a horse. Doesn't look like a mule, either.

It's not a pony. Mongolian horses are small in stature.

Dave, I'd never heard of her till I saw this. Fascinating story! Here's the wikipedia entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_Reckless

Of course!! I should have guessed by the short stiff mane, but unfortunately the dorsal stripe is not visible. The bronze statue, however, seems to be modelled on a non-Mongolian horse as it has a longer flowing mane.
