Hi all,
I'm quite impressed with the majority of reviews on dragon kits. I am looking for either an early or mid tiger 1 DAK version. I am a fan of metal upgrades but would like to buy these seperately aftermarket.
What is a good kit number to buy which isnt a rediculius price?

For a Tunisian Tiger either Dragon #6608 or #6820
DragonUSA occasionally runs sales at $39.99 but you need to check every day

That doesn't leave time in the day for doing much of anything else, like actually building something.

They usually go sale the day after you order them from somewhere else.

OK, let's get you up to speed!
No Tigers were issued to the DAK. All Tigers in Africa belonged to the 5th Panzer Army and they never carried the "palm tree" logo.
It's just like Mr. Carlucci said. Two batches of Tigers were sent to Africa. For the first batch, Dragon has a "Tunisian Initial" with several decal options. For the second batch, they have a "131" Early Production which has decals for only the Bovington Museum Tiger.
Dragon have made noises about a third kit, but it's not on the horizon yet.

I want to buy the Dragon Tunisian Initial and would like to know if they sell the feifel hoses in a rubber form as I hate the plastic ones.

It's not like the real ones were rubber.
I've not seen any rubber models with the correct texture.
