This looks to be an excellent figure set in the works , but unless these are prisoners where are their weapons?

Look closely at the box top. Their pants are black. Look at the sprue diagrams. They have ankle boots and the baggy pants of the panzer waffe. They are a dismounted tank crew so they wouldn't necessarily have weapons.

Yeah, but if you look at the kit, three of the five have knee boots. You could make them prisoners, or stack their weapons near by. I see a lot of possibilities.

AGAIN??!
I find myself REALLY wishing that Miniart managed to match their box art to the contents..
Their Somewhere in the East fig set shows Gucci weapons and gear, not in the box.
The modern US fig set with the dog, different helmets in the box than pictured on the box art, which limits their use to particular times and places.
There are other examples as well.

There are plenty of pics showing tankers wearing the march boots, just sayin'
If you are standing up and doing so at a fire, this says to me you are not in the front lines. So not wearing web gear or helmets makes perfect sense. No soldier wears that heavy stuff just for the heck of it.
This looks to me like a very useful set that can be until zed for dozens of scenarios.
Of course, you would have to outsource the "pointing guy" from another set. LoL

I agree; this would make a cool diorama; add some gear, a vehicle, other figures maybe; lots of possibilities

Brrrrr! ... That's a very nice looking set!
I was just wondering: Since misery loves company, could these figures be combined with the DML 'Chow Time' (3 figures) and/or MB 'Cold Wind' (5 figures) sets?
Hope I'm not getting off topic.

I agree with Bill, these would be great for a behind-the-lines dio, perhaps next to the motor pool, or an artillery dispersal.

We need more figures of guys without all the gear. They'd also make a good crew for an open top vehicle.
Been there, done that too. The words "never feel warm again" echo in my head.

The kit may be depicting POWs after all, reason for no weapons. Probably inspired by this:

Just as likely it's inspired by five wet, cold, tired and hungry guys huddled around any fire in any war fought in the cold whether Trenton New Jersey in 1777 to Russia in 1812, 1915 or 1941.
I'm typing this on my phone in the cold and snow. I work outside and it's snowing.

Stephen I have accepted your earlier statement and the previous comment, I also accept that figures without weapons and equipment have a number of great possibilities, but I still would have expected to get weapons with this set; after all it would only require the addition of a sprue from one of their other sets.

MiniArt aren't known for their fine weapons and equipment, and are best replaced by Dragon's, anyway. If MiniArt included a weapons sprue, someone (like me!) would complain about their poor quality!
