Early Panther Ausf A from Panzer Group Bake during the winter of 43-44. Photographs show this unit had early Ausf A's without zimmerit including at least one with the MG gun ring removed from the commanders cupola and one with "borrowed" zimmerit covered side skirts. These two photos inspired the build and I employed a little artistic licencing.

Still have two figures to finish and a small base.

The Panther is the Dragon kit #6160 wit Friulmodel tracks, Aber photoetch and barrel, Panzer Art antenna, and Eureka tow cables.

Painted with Tamiya acrylics using the hairspray technique. Weathered with oils, enamels and a few pigments.

Hi Bart, that is an awesome looking Panther. I really like the whitewash and weathering you have done on it. Thank you for sharing with us.

Very well done! The rust, dirt, oil and faded whitewash are first rate.
I am digging back into mine for both the Unfinished Business (pt 47??) Campaign and the AMPS show in April, but am going for the warmer Italian version.
It's too cold up here in Vt now to think about modeling Russian winter vehicles..

WOW is right!! That is an exceptional finish. One detail that really stands out to me are the scuff marks on the deck from where the turret turns. Don't often see that on other finishes. Look forward to seeing this on the base you have planned. Great results & thanks for posting.

Now that tank looks COLD! I love it. You know you've done good when the vehicle has a good feel for the environment it's in. Awesome work and I can only echo everyone else.
