These are more current day tankers. Their helmets are the newer Bose VIC-3 system which were fielded in the late '90s and early 2000s. The MTV (Modular Tactical Vest) they are wearing wasn't used until about 2007.

That means they go well together with Meng's recently released USMC M1A1, right? One for me

What exactly are the differances in uniform between USMC and army tankers?

Only the later Afghanistan decal options, not the Iraq '03 option.

On these figures, the MTV (Modular Tactical Vest). Only the USMC and USN use them. The US Army uses the IOTV (Improved Outer Tactical Vest), which has a different cut and look.
The infantryman on the Tank-Infantry Phone is wearing MARPAT camo too, also cut differently than Army ACUs (both UCP and OCP).
Mini Art has another set of US Army Modern Tankers wearing IOTVs coming out soon (hopefullY) as well.

Hmmm. I know not quite the same but I wonder if I can use these Marines' torsos to depict French military in Mali in 2015.
Their MTVs look similar to the French's. More reason for wanting this new release.

Look quite nice ... although I will "improve" them using MTV from Live Resin if possible.
Just one quick observation ... a crew member operating an armored vehicle such as an MBT or APC etc. would definitely avoid having his sidearm dangling from his hip ... as proposed on one of the figures.
Again Live Resin can offer some appropriate options for this.
And I'll be looking forward to the ARMY crew as well, need some guys to mount my M1A2 SEP V2 I've got in the finishing phase.
Still hoping some manufacturer could concentrate on the US Forces from the 90's through early 2000'ends ... Woodland BDU, Parka's, MOPP suits etc.
Cheers

US Army usually has a whole bunch of fancy unit velcro patches, etc. Marine MARPAT and CVC Nomex is limited to rank, nametape and EGA. Nothing fancy, just functional. No rolled up sleeves and only woodland MARPAT is worn now, unless in a “desert” combat zone. (per Commandants orders this year)
