I seen this posted yesterday and I had no idea about this little feature. Apparently many other long time modelers didn't either.

Here is a quick video.

Oh God ... all these years doig the juggler to collect the last drop and the trick was under my nose ... but the question arises spontaneous, Tamiya knows it or is it just a coincidence? ...

Well this is news to me and I've been using extra thin for a few years now without knowing about it. Great find!

I discovered the construction on my first bottle - thinking it was to reach further into a build ... but it don't go very far so I figured it was just the way it was manufactured ,,,
- brushes and caps ..

- really never had a problem getting it out

the biggest problem I have is getting the white O ring to stay in the cap. The second biggest is remembering to close the bottle tightly when I'm done for the day....

My guess is that is not a deliberate feature by Tamiya, rather just an artifact of how the brush is made. That's why no one has heard of it.

If you make the brush long enough to reach into the corner, it will hit the bottom when closed, which will deform the bristles or knock the extended bristle bunch out. It that desirable?

For years I've used a #00 or a #2 paintbrush to apply cement and removed the cap brushes. That's probably why many have never thought to look.

Also, three minutes to show this in a video? Gadzooks. Paul Budzik would've done it in 30 seconds, with no loss in content, and that would include his opening and ending sequences. Oh well.

3 minutes to disseminate approximately 8 seconds of info. Nice.

There's 3 pieces of plastic in the brush tube. Pulling the brush out only results in the brush, and other 2 pieces of plastic falling off and into your bottle of glue after about 15 minutes of use, or after your first reflexive shake of the bottle.

I always discard that white , poly cap seal
As soon as it drops away from the lid -- so real soon
With no ill effects

Or you could just ...

1 - use a thin paint brush

2 - pour the last dregs into the new bottle that you have just bought

Cheers,

Nigel
