To be honest it is a bad idea to bundle the cab with wheels... I already have good wheels for all my HEMTTs, but I could use an armored cab. This set looks nice, but I think the Real Model one is a better option for me.
EDIT: And I just noticed that the wheels are useless anyway, as MMK used old pattern rims, not used with this tire type.

I'd love to have the armored cab but that amount of PE is too daunting and turn off for my skills to tackle. With Trumpeter boxing so many variants of most of their kits, with the exception of the FMTV trucks where they covered several variants, it "annoys" me they don't do the others in plastic like the armored HEMMTT and M1070, and many more variants of the MTVR.

Send MMK an email, I'm sure they will sell jut the PE, as I have purchased a separate item from them before.

But the PE is exactly what he doesn't want to have...

I believe he was replying to Pawel's post that he only needed the cab and not the wheels.

I also think that it would be better to sell cab separately from wheels.

Real Model sells the armoured cab for the HEMTT. I wonder if its the same product? I swear I had one of those in my stash, I just can't find it.

i agree, especially since both Italeri and Trumpeter have improved their wheels/tires.

A conversion to A3 standard would also be very neat.

Looks like the cab must be soldered to obtain a good result?

The HEMTT A3 version was an experimental diesel-electric hybrid drive system that was not bought by the US Military (nor anyone else that I know of).
Experimental M1120A3 LHS
The most current fielded version is the A4, which includes the larger cab from the PLS, larger air cleaner box from the PLS, redesigned engine compartment w/two external radiators, air-ride suspension, redesigned instrument panel and interior, and a few other smaller changes. All older HEMTTs are being upgraded to the A4 standard.
M1120A4 LHS w/soft cab left side
M1120A4 w/soft cab right side
M1120A4 LHS w/armored cab
All of the current HEMTT kits are A2 versions; Italeri's various versions (M977 cargo, M978 tanker, M985 guntruck, M1120 LHS), Dragon's M983 tractor (reworked Italeri base kit), and Trumpeter's M983 tractor. Of the lot, Trumpeter's M983 is the best. Hopefully Trumpeter will come out with their M1120A2 LHS soon. Or even better, make it an M1120A4 LHS, one can always hope.

These are cool vehicles, and judging by the comments left so far, are of deep and abiding interest to many others as well. Looking forward to seeing more versions soon.

Pawel, thx for the clarification.
Gino, great photos. I meant this version, just used the wrong name. It would be really cool to have a kit of it.

Absolutely do not understand why no one has yet to offer an A4 conversion for the HEMTT.
