Hi everyone.
I would like to present model, which I built a few years ago.
It represents the prototype of the soviet tank called Black Eagle Object 640.
This miniature is scratched using lower hull of T-80 from ZVEZDA and also some wheels from Panzerart dedicated for T-80.
White styrene parts are scratched myself, antenna are from RB Model set.
This miniature was built according to several photos which I found on the net.
An article about building this vehicle was published in MMI issue 122 and Steel Masters issue 138.
Photos of finished miniature were made by my colleague Kamil Feliks Sztarbała.
...a few pictures from building step.
..and presently.
...and few my pictures.

Nice build Rafal, do you have any references on the layout of the back deck? That area seems to be a dead zone in the information department.

Unfortunately, I do not have any information, just speculation.
As far as i know, this is lengthened standard lower hull T-80U, so i assumed that layout of the back deck should be same as T-80, with a smooth short space between the ring and the grilles.
...and thanks John, i'm really glad, that you like it.

I guess that I will get the Custom factory conversion, and use what you did to stretch the back deck, as it does not seem to be included in the conversion. Once again that is an amazing piece of scratch-building!

Great job even if you lacked information about the rear part.
After all it is a kind of what-if as it never entered in service.

I would assume it was still turbine powered? In any case, great job on the build. I also like the ground work you put together for the display.

Very Nice work Rafal. That is a something you should be very proud of. Did your turret get cast up?
Blucop - Yes, it is still a turbine powered tank.

If it helps you John, take advantage of this, also as far as i can see, this conversion set doesn't include extra fuel tanks yet.

Thanks for the photos Rafal, and for pointing out the fuel tanks. Looks like I will have some scratchbuilding of my own to do if Custom Factory does not include them.
