Hi!
Please accept my apologies for this question, but I rarely build models of T-55 based tanks.
I wonder what the correct track tension might be: How slack is the track when optimal tensioned? On how many road wheels does the track lay flat? Lots of pictures show different results, but there must be a rule/advice how to do tension correctly on the real vehicle. Can someone of you help here?

Thank you very very much!

Hi Andreas;

On T-54/55s the track's will lay across the top of the Middle road wheels when the vehicle is in gear, when not in Gear the R.W. will lay across all Five (5) station's ! I don't think the Tension would be tite if the Vehicle were traveling over rough ground as they tended to shed there track if maneuvering to fast.

CHEERS; MIKE.

Dear Mike,
thank you very much for your answer. Yes, I have seen pictures before where the track follows a gentle curve and touches 2nd, third and forth roadwheel. I think I will try to make it look like that.

Thanks again!
Andreas
