So the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Cambrai is coming up in November. Anyone up for a Great War Armor campaign? There are a number of great kits out there to choose from, and I haven't seen a campaign to cover them for quite a while now. What do you all think?

I'm interested. I've had the WW1 bug for a little while, got an FT-17 ready to build, and I'm intending on getting an A7V, Mark V, and St. Chamond "soon" (Before November)
But, The last 2 campaigns I was in, I didnt complete due to severe life issues and not figuring out how to upload images (I see how, but not getting started didnt help), and my lack of a truly suitable kit for it.
Though, my life seems stable again, and I've got that FT-17 'ready'... So, it really depends on the campaign's duration. I should be able this time.
Also, WW1 tank in postwar markings? Or just WW1 markings... I've been REALLY thinking about building my FT as a Russian Renault, So... Gotta ask.

I figure at least 6 months and probably not starting till at least November. I would say that, seeing that it's an anniversary campaign, I'd think we should stick to WWI markings, etc. But I'm open to persuasion!

Fair enough, I'd say I should be able then. Pending anymore life issues anyway.
And yeah, I'm not 100% sure on the Russian Renault idea yet anyway. I just want to find an option for a FT-17 (Riveted turret) thats not just the kit markings. Lol.
Got a few months to look into it though, So... Ill find something

Hi. Sounds good. Brings up my question. Will armoured cars also be allowed?
I would like to do a scratch build, something like the picture is showing.
Picture comes from tanks-encyclopedia.com
Designs are so basic and with a bit of searching it should be possible I think to do it in 1/35. I don't want to build 'Tank' anymore, I like the different.
Kind regards,
Robert Jan

I would like to join but I'm already committed to other campaigns right now and have my big bomber build going on.
Maybe if I can clear a spot on the desk I will jump in later.
I will be following it though, that's for sure.

I think I could go for armored cars as well, all part of the evolution. What does the rest of the gang think?

Michael, maybe starting in November and ending in June/July, would that be ok with you ?
I don't mind the armored cars are fine by me.
I don't have anything in stash but I will follow this one for sure.

If it helps anyone, I have a Takom Mark I male that is new that I am willing to trade for something. It has the easier snap together tracks also. I will do a posting in the buy sale trade area. And name some kits I am looking for in armor.

I have do Meng A7V in stash. If I finish a campaign build when this campaign is active and I don't have another campaign waiting to be started, then I'd be likely to join.
So I could be counted as probable or possible participant

Excellent, it looks like we have 10 now! I will draft up a proposal and get it submitted. If anyone has some ideas for a ribbon, throw 'em out there.

So, here's my reason for suggesting this campaign:
So now the question, of course, is: which one?
Decisions, decisions!

I guess the key question is: were they armored? If so, yes. If not, I don't think so.

Hi guys...
Michael - just seen your campaign proposal....! I'm in the process of planning a new build based on the 100th anniversary of Passchendaele....,chiefly a diorama but it does have an MK4 to add to the interest, so count me in Nothing built yet, or even in the process of, so the start dates perfect.
Look forward to seeing some of the rest of these models being made, did something similar afew years ago, great subject!!
Cheers,
Simon.
