Nicely done. I see you are going for replacement tires, any plans to replace the tracks? Just wondering.

A little trick to improve the look of the top run of the Tamiya rubber band tracks:
Put super glue on about an inch of the exposed sprocket rim. Roll the sprocket forward so the track comes in contact with the glue. Let dry thoroughly.
When you then roll the sprocket backwards slightly it will force the track to bend downwards and the entire length of the whole top run will then lay nicely along the top of the road wheels without further gluing.
As you say, in your dio the bottom half of the track run will be covered in mud, so the stock Tamiya tracks may work perfectly for you in this situation!

I am very surprised that technique works as well as it does. I will be trying that next time!
One comment regarding tanks: there should also be slack between the forward drive gear or idler wheel and the first ground roller. When driving forward this seems to be the spot where the slack accumulates. The track is not straight but sags towards the ground. The hair dryer technique should be excellent for achieving this.

That is turning into a work of art! It just goes to show what can be done with an old kit with some thought. Looking forward to seeing the completed diorama. Excellent work.

Nice job on that Flak.
I think everybody has built one of these.
But this one stands out as the do the others, all look great.
An idea use gun blue on copper makes it a black color.
