Comparing pics of Tristar / Hobbyboss / Tamiya Sd. Kfz 222s I found that the Tamiya kit comes with a very simplified mount, checking some reference I found that this kit's mount looks more like a Kwk 30 sockelafette with two separate wheels for rotation/elevation of the gun. As the new kit comes with the Kwk 38 barrel and muzzle brake, should I modify the mount to look like the Kwk 38's (only one wheel)? Or maybe the 20 mm guns were interchangeable between different mounts. Now, Tamiya kit is an ausf. B so I think the early Kwk 30 sockellafette shouldn't be used. Oh yes, I bought the Tamiya kit many years ago, but I decided to build it just days ago. Thanks in advance. Best regards.
