Hi All,
It's me again with another dumb question. To follow up on my burned duffle bag question, does anyone have any close-up or detailed photos (or maybe diagrams) of how duffle bags or other things like Alice packs were/are secured to the sides of Bradley AFVs? I know that in some (many?) cases, you can see external straps around the outside of these bags, lashing them to the armored sides of the vehicle. However, there are also photos of bags like these seemingly magically hanging off the sides of these AFVs. I'm trying to find out how the bags that look like this were/are secured. Obviously, some sort of strap system is holding them in place, and perhaps knowing the details doesn't mean that it will be easy/possible to model those attachments mechanisms, but if anyone has pictures or other ways to show how those bags are secured, I'd be very grateful if you could share your knowledge. Thank you!

I don't have any pictures but we use to use the shoulder straps of our rucksacks to secure them onto vehicles. The straps had a quick release that would separate it in two. Then we would pass these through whatever was handy and secure. Connect up the QD's and you have your ruck secured to the vehicle. Much better than on your back...
This may be why you have seen pictures of ALICE packs seemingly hanging by magic from the sides of vehicles. It would be hard to see this in pictures because the shoulder straps would pretty much be hidden from view.
I hope this helps to shed some light on your inquiry.

Current Bradleys have metal latches bolted to the lateral armor plates to attach all kind of stuff.

I think the latches are or were available from Eduard or Voyager.

Thanks for the replies, folks. It makes sense, of course, but I wanted to make sure I understood how this equipment is held onto the sides of the vehicles.
