Before the Marines and Army adopted the 4 color MERDC camo system
were the markings on Marine M151A2 jeeps yellow or were they black on them i knoiw they were yellow when the standard paint scheme was marine Corps green now the question is was there a interm period where they were changed to black before the introduction of the MERDC camo system?

I think it was either yellow or black, depending on when/where it was.
Another rebuild M151A2 w/yellow markings.
Here is an in-service M151A1 with yellow lettering as well.

I hit both Camp Pendleton and Camp LeJeune and never saw black markings, only yellow. That would have been '72-'78.
