I am surprised that I haven't seen any reaction to this post on Facebook. I for one am very pleased

I've been waiting for this one for some time. It looks like it will be much nicer than the Italeri version. The Trumpeter basic HEMTT parts are awesome. The M1120 parts should be equally as nice. I'll be getting one for sure.

Where is the Container Handling Device that was demoed months ago along with this vehicle by Trumpeter?
I am very happy with this news but it is only half the loaf!
This device does away with the need to mount a container on a flat rack in order to get a hold of it during loading. It reduces the tear weight of the load and lowers the center of gravity of the entire vehicle by 16".
Wish someone out there would produce this device separately! I guess I am going to have to scratch one.)

Good to see the M1077 FLatrack. It´s more versatile. To AM companies: How about M1 flatrack, M3 CROP Flatrack and M7 Forward Repair System Heavy? Plenty of references out there.

Lucky me
I was planning on getting the Italeri kit but now I'm happy that I didn't get around to it

You're right. I just noticed it has the flatrack. The original preview pic had the CHD. The CHD would have been much nicer.

Maybe a kit option or a hint to a second kit?

Egg-Zak-Lee! (Exactly)
I already have my super detailed HEMTT LHS based on the Italeri offering plus the addition of a lot of AM and scratch. The only reason I was going to buy this new kit was to get the CHU!
There are now plenty of flat racks available out there. I already have two - I don't need another one.
I think Trumpy has let me down.
Kinda pissed in Lexington.

I got the Italeri kit as soon as it came out and have not built it yet. I guess I'll have to get this one too. They can sit on the shelf together.

I suspect if you build the Trumpeter kit first you won't want to build the Italeri.

Another point; I hope Trumpy has figured out that maybe we all don't want to be shipping our gear into a US combat zone in a "China Shipping" marked container.
Hopefully they will offer multiple ID decals for their containers.
(Nothing against China Shipping I would just like a variety of container markings so we can also then have a variety of container colors.)

Container Markings will probably be limited by copyright issues or royalty fees. Don't hold your breath on a nice selection of markings for the container.

they need to offer the container box as a kit by itself! Used all over the place in Vietnam for shelter.

US military trucks rarely carry civilian commercial containers, so it not an issue. The kit should come with a selection of military markings.
Although both Trumpeter and Italeri containers are not entirely correct for US military version of 20' containers... For starters it should have double forklift pockets.

They already do...
Also ISO container standard was first established in 1968 and probably it took several years before they became common, so this container type isn't suitable for Vietnam.

actually looks very close to the 20ft. containers we saw all over the place. My unit never used them, but places we visited did. They'd dig them into the ground, and then sand bag them all over.
