Hello, I have your wonderful CCKW Machine Gun truck in 1/35 scale. I was writing to you today do see if a replacement cab is available in the correct dimensions. It is well documented that the initial release of this product has a misshapen cab. If a corrected version of the cab is available, I would like to purchase one. Thank you.

Dear Sir
Sorry that we do not have a revised one yet. Can you show me how it is wrong? So that I can show it to our engineers.

My source of knowledge is the various threads here on Armorama.
I think one of them had 'screwed the pooch' in the title/subject line.

You got a reply!! In that case, any chance you can sneak in an extra and ask them to add the missing sprue to their SdKfz 254 Kit.... the one not marked in the instrustions, or is in the box, but adds a few missing bits:

The GMC hard cab is such a huge WWII icon that I feel this problem to be a major flaw rather than just a slight error.
The overall length of hood/fenders plus cab is correct therefore the errors do not extend to the rest of the vehicle but the proportional errors within the cab are so great that I for one will not purchase or use the Hobby Boss kits without performing these extensive corrections.

Hello Steven - Any chance you would consider changing the title of this thread to something that makes a direct reference to the CCKW cab error? I had not even checked out this thread until Nick H. pointed it out to me.

Please, by all means, forward this thread to the manufacturer. As I said more than a few months ago Hobby Boss "Screwed the Pooch" with their CCKW.
I won't be buying any of their CCKW kits except in the rare occasion where the kit will provide me with correct parts for other vehicle conversions.
