Hey guy's

I just recently got Mengs USMC M1A1 AIM and my plan is to modelit after the ones The Marines used in Norway. I found a couple on the net but, the whole scheme can not be seen to correctly paint it. Is there anyone out there that knows where to find pictures of the tank and different angles. Thanks.

Hi!
What was the name of the exercise and which year? Sometimes exercises do have special galleries in the internet...

I don't know whether this will help or not but YouTube has several videos posted of the 2016 and 2017 exercises. The video of M1's and Leopard II's sliding around icy roads is kinda neat. There are also some shots of Norwegian Leopard II's in temporary winter camo.

To the original poster: All you need to do is go to YouTube, and search on 'M1A1 in Norway'. I know you've probably seen all these videos, but the video seems to have enough coverage for your needs. The M1s all look brand new, in pristine CARC Sand color, and don't appear to have any unit markings (I'm no USMC tank expert, however, and the small markings that can be seen may be Marine unit indicators). If you search on Google for "photos of M1A1 tanks in Norway, sliding on ice" you will find nice still photos, though probably from the videos. Hope this helps.

Joe is talking about the winter splinter camo pattern the USMC applied to some M1A1s on exercise in Norway.

Check out this post from when they were first seen for more pics.

Thanks Gino. Ill keep looking for more pictrues but that one is a good start. Also the CSWS is that a different version of the M1A2 tank commander cupola. My goal is along with getting the winter scheme right I'm going to try scratch building that cupola.
