I have used Friul metal tracks in the past and at the time accepted the fact that long sessions of micro drilling was required to get the great realism and detail they provided. Recently I used two sets of Masterclub T44/AT-L tracks and was pleasantly surprised that no drilling was needed, the detail was crisper than Friul, and the tiny resin pins were surprisingly easy to manipulate. I have just purchased the Friul BTR 50 tracks to give the manufacturer another shot-thinking that a newly released set may show improvements.Nope-every link I have checked will need to be drilled, and the small size of these links will make that chore especially hard. What is you opinion on the quality of these two manufacturers products head to head?

I have been using Master Club for some time now, not only are the Master Club better cast with better details and easier to put together, they are cheaper.
And to make matter worse, while Master Club improves their selection, Friul raises their price. Here in Canada MasterClub can be bought for about $40-$50 while Friuls are $60-$70.

Yea I have to agree Master Club tracks are pretty sweet.I'm finding I also like the pins a hell of a lot easier to us and they finish off the appearance of the tracks. And all for a better price.

I would agree Masterclub won me over got a set for my Tamiya mobelwagen. Used 55mm pins from hobby lobby worked and look great. Fruils are very nice but it would take 4 or more hours drill an assemble them. Masterclub 1.5 hours.Get mine from Lots of Models great webstore.

I really like the new sets they are putting out, I was told they had plans to release a set for the Russian T-18 light tank, and the Universal Carrier was also mentioned. I'm going to get a half dozen sets of the Universal Carrier tracks, and not one of them will go on a carrier LOL!

Spade Ace prices had caught up to Fruils for awhile, but lately Fruils prices seem to have gone through the roof!

I have been a firm fan of MasterClub due to their Chieftain tracks and lower prices.

Friulmodel became complacent as hell with their long near-monopoly in the Metal Track business, they're struggling to keep up with the new guys

Masterclub tracks are superior in all respects to Friuls.

I used Masterclub tracks on my Objekt 704 a while ago and fell in love with them. The problem I always had with Friuls was that when you got up close, the wire looked like wire, not like real track pins. Masterclub fixes that problem, the prices are typically better and the quality is as good if not better.

I have used both Friuls and Masterclub tracks in my models. Masterclub tracks are better detailed and I like their resin trackpins over Friuls wire. So far I havenīt tried to use any track burnishing fluids to Masterclub tracks though. Iīm worried how resin trackpins would react. I havenīt ever drilled holes from Friul tracks before assembly. I use strong tweezers to force wire through holes and only use drill if holes are completely closed.

The burnishing fluid will have no effect on the resin pins. The tracks will be nicely rusted up, but the pins will be unchanged.

Have to agree Spade Ace are good tracks also.
Used a set on the M-110, and another set put up for the M-107.
Plus two sets for the M-113 on hand. Thanks to Gino on that.
Does not Masterclub , make ones for any American stuff, or only German and Russian tanks?

I had to do some drilling, with Spade Ace. I have a set of Friuls, picked up on the cheap. Should be starting those, in the next week or two.
