Hello,
one further project I am working on at the moment...
The Soviet truck ZIL-157 in 1/35 of Trumpeter, plus the photo etched parts of Eduard (mainly for the engine hood and interior), resin wheels and lenses from SKP.
The crane is a super kit of Z+Z Exclusive Models, consisting of several Resin parts in good quality and a huge fret of photo etched parts for the smaller details and for the jib (which needs to be soldered).
I have planned the painting in black (chassis, front fenders), orange (cab, engine hood) and dark green (crane) ...
I hope that you like it ...
Cheers
Micha

How was the fit of the parts?
That crane is hiding in my stash too .....
Still need to decide which truck I want to base it on

Hi Robin,
the fitting is good. The resin parts need some cleaning as usual, but the fitting is very fine. The PE-parts are good as well, but it is necessary to solder the jig - otherwise it will not be very sold I think
Cheers

Nice paintjob and the right, in my opinion, amount of dirt and grease on the crane.
For the base I could imagine a less smooth sand surface, maybe some depressions caused by heavy wheels driving across, maybe some wheel patterns et.c.
I would also use a slightly heavier/stronger rope, maybe also longer rope to get a more vertical angle of the ropes when lifting. Well, if you are basing the vignette on some Russian YouTube clip where they drop a heavy box onto something fragile then the rope looks Exactly right
I'll save the images for when I build my own Bleichert crane, I'm leaning towards a ZiL 130 chassis but nothing is decided yet. I'm getting inspiration from this:
