MiniArt are very busy!

Miniart are certainly producing a lot of items these days, which I think is great.

My only concern is that their buildings and as such the building accessories they produce seem to be based on a scale of 1/32 rather than 1/35. This is seen in doors with heights to tall, handles too high up and the distance from floor to window sills.

I've also noted that the figure sets I have, and I don't own much from the last year or so of releases, seem to be on the larger side compared to other figure makers, including those of resin manufacture. This becomes more apparent when you try to replace kit included heads with replacements from Hornet, Alpine etc.

I hope that any future release certainly of buildings etc. falls more in line with the majority of their product line - 1/35 scale.

For those of us who are culturally ignorant what is the large contraption on the table of the East European Set?

Looks like a samovar (an urn for making tea) to me and I can see it cropping up in lots of dioramas!

hi alanmac. so if ya put a Hornet head on a MiniArt figure , does it really show ? do ya end up with a noticly small headed figure ? -- im not being funny or flipant , im just wondering .♡♡

Personally can't see using the cable spools but the rest, esp. the panzerschrecks are most welcome as always. Way to go MiniArt!

It does really depend on the figure set you are using from Miniart. Certainly the Alpine ones I've tried look to small. I got away with one figure okay with a hornet replacement. Sorry about the blurred image, took it with web cam years ago.

It's really a word of caution rather than a blanket judgement on all the figures. Newer stuff does seem to be smaller.

Here is a comparison the other way. A Miniart/Tank resin head on a plastic figure somebody else did. Their original plastic figure on the right full sized, my reduced head on the left using Photoshop.



It seems early stuff by Miniart was created by the same sculptor as what Tank used. A look at both ranges will show what I mean.

The figure from the old Tank Maintenance set is one of their older efforts and is very large; approaching 1/32 or 1/30 scale. Their newer kits are very much in the 1/35 range and I find they match Dragon and Masterbox quite well.

I really like the scale representation of the Dragon figures as they seem realistic without being too tall. Some of the Tamiya releases had the soldiers with tiny waists and no chest. You hardly look heroic (or even realistic) if your gear buries you. Oddly, I thought that the crew figures that Tamiya released with the FAMO and trailer set were a touch large. Over-compensation?

miniart should inlcude bath tub accessories.

I was just about to mention bathtub, shower and toilet items, outhouses, etc.. Ideal for bunker and house interiors. And also my previous mention of portable generators and compressors. Another item would be a bunch of different radio cable reels. That would be great! Maybe add some frequency signs/flags too. I hope Miniart is listening!

I think I need all of the sets WoW MiniArt is just amazing! Hope to see some US WW2 or Korean GIs in fighting poses in 2018
