Very nice..
Here is possibly the ultimate compliment...
Is it the OLD DML kit or the new one?
Seriously.. I can't tell from the pics!
Is the slight sheen at the upper edges of most pics from the lighting?
While I am NOT the biggest fan of the currently in vogue weathering style of chipped to death paint, are you going to chip or do bare metal on the sprocket, idler and track teeth?
Other than that, it looks sweet to my eyes.
Mike

Hi Mike,
It's the Old kit.. what a dog! .. but I'm having fun..
Yes I've still some work down low.. bare metal drybrushing...
As far as the sheen.. I've yet to do a Flat Coat.. that is also coming...
Thanks again!
charlie

Lookin' really good, I like it a lot.
The teeth on the drive wheels are not weathered as heavily as the rest of the road wheels.

Very Nice Tuna.
Solid overall paintjob, I like the chipping also, your method of base colour showing through the camo is the one I use as well.
Thanks for sharing,
Andrew

Looking good.
I am actually thinking of getting this kit, well actually the new one.
What is the difference between this old kit and the new one, if you know?
How is the interior detail?
And lastly what books do you have for reference?
Thanks
Marc

TUNA,
You've made an old dog look real real good. I've found following your progress very rewarding.
I actually find the slight sheen on the armor more realistic then the dead-flat finish. I spent three years on an Abrams, and believe me, they didn't have a flat finish over the overall surface. You could go from dead flat, to a subtle sheen, to almost dowright glossy on one panel. I find that when we attempt to replicate this in scale, it gives a bit more variation to our colors, and in my eye, looks actually better.
Just my two cents of course!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Hi Slodder.. Yes I still have more work to do on the wheels.. intend to drybrush metal on the sprockets and tracks.. along with a dustin of Tamiya Flat Earth on as well
Petro, I've seen the "New" kit in the box at the LHS.. and it is a heck of a lot nicer.. If I had not already had this one on the shelf when the new one came out, I would've been building the new one! Nashorn's look awsome too!
Stuke, thanks... I'm still gonna do a Flat Coat anyways though.. gotta try and protect those Pastels... I do think it looks cool when some modellers re-produce wet shiny areas on Armor..
Thanks everyone for your tips and nice comments!

Tuna - hehehe, very nice Hummel!
I am sooo glad you didn't fling it when you had the chance :-) It has turned out REALLY well! I am impressed - especially since I am a bit familiar with the old Dragon kits :-)
Super job!
Later-
Jeff
PS - Do you have a crew in mind?
