Looks great, but the spare track links don't seem to be the same color as the tracks themselves? And I think the road wheels should be dusted a little more

Nice one D,
Are you bringing it to the meeting Monday? I'll drag the SAFS along.
Is it the lighting or are the vision blocks and tail lights looking pretty flat in those pics?
A little gloss over those and some chipped paint (kidding, just kidding...) nah.. just the gloss.
I really like the dusty look!
Are you going to do a C? Mine is ready for paint, but I've still not gotten the motivation for all that masking.
You've got another you're going to town on with the etched 'fence' armor, right?
See ya Mon.

Thanks guys,
I have been waiting a long time to finish this. Just realized that it is not OOB, but almost OOB. I added rubber track pads to each link, not just the visible ones.
Paul: Actually the spare links were painted the same color, just done to as ones I saw in photos. The links on the hull always had a darker shade of rust. The misting of PS Earth was the big shading difference between them. (first time I tried it, just went easy on it this go around)
MLD: Yes, I'm planning on bringing it Monday (if I can remember to bring it to work Monday morning). Thanks for noticing the flat glass Back downstairs to add it. Well, maybe I'll wait till morning. Just noticed out I flattened the lights too.
I have a C and the Eduard PE of the RPG fence, but I may hold off on starting it to see if the Swedish Campaign gets enough entrants and is a go. I am not quite ready to try masking over all that detail in a four color hard edge scheme yet.
Chipping, what's chipping? :-) :-) Hope TUNA brings his Hummel on Saturday. :-)

Hi Tazz,
Thanks. The hull was painted MM Imperial Japanese Army green. This was washed w/ Black oil paint. Three levels of dry brushing went on after that. The first was straight IJA green the next two were lightened with increased amounts of Camo Gray. I find that the gray lightens the color but doesn't make the color look too washed out.

Nice kit.
I have only one small thing to say.
The registration number should only be four digits on the B-version.
The first two digits "20" was never included on the B, they started to include those digits after modification to the C-model.

Thord (The Swede),
Damn, you'd think that Trumpeter (and me) could of at least gotten that right. That's one thing I never caught in any of my ref photos.
Thanks for the photos you sent a while back. I'm still trying to scratchbuild a figure for this. Someday The Swede will be riding in this.
Anyway, I fixed the glass this morning before the Mrs. had me start some 1:1 scale house painting.

Excellent info, I just went and wrote it in the lid om my B model kit box so I don't forget!
Glad to hear you got the glass... well... glassy..
Looking forward to seeing it Mon.
As for housepainting.. it's warm enough all the way down there for that today?
Us REAL New Englanders (I'm a transplanted flatlander BTW) still have it too cold to start painting.. lucky me... :-)
Back to the Trumpeter 1/35th Hind.

Dixon, thanks for the info above, as my first reaction was "Wow" when looking at your S tank. Very very impressive paint job. The depth you have achieved is shown beautifully in the 4th close up pic---stunning effect! The tracks look great also.
How was this build with the Trump kit? (you have tempted me here- hehe). Very very well done! Congrats.

Thanks again,
MLD: Inside painting, ceilings, about 450 SqFt worth. I have to bend my torso down to look at the keyboard, my neck is stuck back from looking up at the roller.
WWH: It is a good fun build, the hull fits together real nice. All the bits fit good, except there is almost no way to mount all three shovels in their rack on the left rear. I did only secure the blade braces on the hull w/ white glue, in case I decide to display it blade down in the future.
By the way, Bad Time looks real good!
