Cool, before there was only Italeri's kit, now a 2nd kit is coming! Let's see who else will bring out kits too. Oh my aching wallet.

"They may ALSO release..." is what you meant to say. Cool, I'd like to see the two offerings back to back in a build. I offer my services in this endeavor. I know its a hard task but someone's gotta do it...in the mean time YE HAH!!! another Bergepanther after decades of only that Italeri piece of questionable accuracy!

I know it smacks of "fixing" of sorts between those who would otherwise be competitors, however I really do wish model companies could coordinate their "coming attractions."
There is only so much energy/funding/buyer interest in the hobby market and it is just a shame when the small and up and coming manufacturers waste their efforts unknowingly producing the same model for introduction at approximately the same time.

"Unknowingly"? I doubt it, Mike.

Well I remember about a year ago one small manufacturer made the comment that he often cooperated with another hobby company and he said he was surprised when both companies introduced the same model and the other company never mentioned it.

Between research, digital modeling and actual tooling costs even at today's faster, cheaper rates a company has to have at least $300,000+ invested in tooling to produce a new model. Clearly it seems they would not want to duplicate effort but it seems to happen all the time.
