Hello,
As a complete Patton illiterate, I would like to know, what could the recent Takom Brave Tiger parts be used for? Having recently finished the version with ERA, I seem to have caught the Patton bug. The kit was really fun to build, it seems to be held in high regard in terms of accuracy.
What other versions could be derived from this kit, eventually as a kitbash with other products?

The hull is propably the best M60 hull in the market.
So here are some options:
- Hull with some minor mods + DEF m60 conversion = M60 slick
- Hull + Legend Magach conversions = Magach 6M, Magach 6B Gal Batash, Magach 7A, Magach 7C etc
- Hull + DEF M60A1 turret = M60A1 (propably needs some detail from a M60A1 kit0
- Hull + M60A1 turret + DEF M60A3 barrel = M60A3
- Hull + M60A1 Turret + M60A3 barrel + Legend ERA = Magach 6C Gimel
I can elaborate in any of the above versions...

I seem to have references only on the Magach 6B Gal. All these Magachs look very much alike.
So would the following work?
- Brave Tiger lower hull
- Steel wheels from the kit
- Late pattern Patton tracks from AFV Club
- Turret from Italeri/Esci Magach 6 kit (lots of detailing will be required, turret basket etc...)
- Blazer ERA from Legend
I know, that AFV Club is going to release something like this. However, I didn't manage to fall in love with their M60 line yet, the Starhip is still gathering dust half-built...

The Baltan blocks from the Italeri kit are pretty decent, they only need the mounting points underneath.
If you get the Esci/Italeri kit you will need an aftermarket Urdan cupola.
The AFV CLub hull is similar to the Takom one, some differences in parts layout, mainly the engine deck.

Nikos, that illustration is really great.
So I am missing only the Urdan cupola. By looking at it, it seems to be very similar to the M48 cupola that comes in the Takom kit. Are they somehow related?

They are the same, I just forgot the turret details

Great, I just need to add the machine hun mount and some other fine details. It is going to be an awesome build.
One more time, thank you a lot for the good advice

If you need any reference photos of the variant you want to build, especially of the Magach 6b feel free to ask.

Nope... Turret basket remember?
A 6R would be easier. But the corrections needed to the Dragon details are making the cost very high (gun barrel and mantlet, tracks and so on).
Unfortunately, as we have discussed in other topics, build the Dragon kit, put it on the shelf and do not look at it again.

I might add, the turret in the Takom kit looks to be a pretty good example of the M48 unit, and I'm planning on using it for a Magach3 model, with one of the many Tamiya M48 kits I've accumulated over the years. Lots of surgery, and not the best hull, I know, but I have a stack of them.....

Hello
I bought two Takoma models only for parts.
One for the hull for M60A1 Tamiya, the other for M60 Dragon. I use the turret and accessories from the original models.
From the M60 hull I will make Magach 7c and from the Tamiya hull and the Takoma turret - a test model for painting practice.
