here are some in progress pics of my Accurate Armour Staghound mk1 armoured car.
this has been painted in tamiya OD 2 from a spraycan.
these pictures have had some tamiya OD oversprayed to tone down the horrible finish from the spraypaint.
i havent done any detail painting, and there will be lots of stowage and figures added.
the damaged wing mirror posts were intentional, i have a photo with a daimler with damaged mirrors, so decided to copy that.
it will be marked as a vehicle from the 11th hussars in NW europe
cheers

Sweet. I love Staghounds. Too bad the Accurate Armor models are so expensive. Do you think it's worth it? Are you happy with the kit?
The only comments I can make: Maybe you can/should drill out the bow MG barrel? Looks like there may be some paint coverage issues on the edge of the right front fender and under the right headlight. Also, it's probably a shadow, but it looks like there's a horizontal gap along the inside of the right front wheel well.
Can't wait to see this baby all decked out and weathered.

Howdy greatbrit,
Your 'Hound is looking lean & mean so far! And as Part-timer said, can't wait to see it washed & weathered.
I do think that that she's kinda low to the ground though. And the wheel wells look awfully empty.
Speaking of wheel wells..it looks like your outer fender edges are 'rough', or is it just the pic?
Bloody good on ya greatbrit!

yes the AA kit is expensive, but as resin kits go its superb.
the paint coverage does look very patchy in the photos, but it doesnt look like that on the model. it may be the flash.
the fender edges are a bit rougn, i must have missed that, and the reason the wheel wells look empty is cos they are!
the kit came with some very mis-shaped leaf spring suspension parts, which once the rather large wheels are on, are invisible. so i chose to leave them off.
the gap under the right front fender is like that on the molding. the transmissin and axles occupy it, and as i dont have any pics of satgs without te wheels i thought it was best not to fill it.
cheers

for resin i use C/A glue, or superglue as its called over here,
i use locktite brand gel type, the one that comes with either a brush applicator, or the fine tip.
cheers

In this picture, along the edge of the mantlet, there appears to be a mold parting line. I don't know the vehicle, so maybe it's supposed to be there.
Other than that, looking good.

hi AJ, its certainly not a mold line, i think its supposed to be a weld bead, but the only close up pictue i have is of an earlier type, without the armoured wedge.
