Last night I put the finishing touches on my model. Since my last post I have subdued the vision blocks, added antennae, painted skate ring, sanded and stained the base, added label/decal to the base, and attached my model to the base. The name of the tank is Cardinal Sins after user Cardinal (see bottom pic).

Let me know if there is anything that I missed, I hope to enter this in a contest this weekend.

I really enjoyed the build and wish to thank all those who helped organize it.

...and here are the pics

Man that looks great, I cant think of anything. What did you use on the vision blocks? The coloring looks very good.

Narly! I like it!

If you're going to put it up for inspection at a contest - watch out for the seams on the .50cal and the stowage "without visible means of support/attachment" hanging off the Turret.

I hear pesky judge-types frown upon these things...

Love the build. One thing I noticed, and it may be just me, but the IFF panels seems to stick out, so to speak. Maybe lay a wash in them and then dry brush them to subdue them a bit? Like I said, it is probably me...
Great job, good luck @ the contest!

You did a great job on this one. The paint is applied very subtle . I like the fact that you did not clutter it with too much stowage and the simple wooden base shows class. Bravo

It's a nice "Beast"... If you take it to a contest, I would do something with the APU-connection and wheather the CIP's a bit (like allready mentioned)
But it looks Great, congrats on the build!

Thanks for the comments and suggestions!

Steve - The vision blocks are made from foil party stars. I bought an 18 ft length of these for $1.99 at the store. I cut the stars off and glue them to some plastic card. After it dries, I fit it to the vision port and glue it in place. A VERY light layer of dullcote and they are done.
