I'm not officially part of the campaign, but here is a look at the Trumpeter M1 that I have been working on. I resisted the urge to detail and it is completely out of the box.

You know you can still join!
I know I'm not allowed to post simple congratulary remarks, but I can't help loving the pre-shading you've done! What prime-color did you use?
Can't wait to see the finished result....

Somehow I think the preshading is very well done! One thing I must comment. The Gulf War Sand looks too "white". Maybe a little darker sand color could do.

Very nice example of preshading... could you please explain the procedure after browns and blacks were added? How do you apply the sand color?
I'd be interested in any articles on preshading available on-line as I've never done it before and since I just got the airbrush I'd love to try it... Anyone?

Photo flash washes out the color.
The sand color is applied with an airbrush. I can't really say what the thinning ratio was. I don't really follow hard-fast rules. It's thinned a little more than normal and applied lightly making sure that the undercoat/preshading shows through.

Very nice work so far. A very unusual method of pre-shading, but I do l like it. An interesting approach to bringing up your colors. Well done.
Send more pics as you proceed :-)
Cheers !
