Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any interesting examples of vehicles used by the Hungarian army, either new or old (tanks, transporters, etc)? I mostly make WWII German vehicles and modern stuff, but I've received a special request from someone.

During the Second World War, the Royal Hungarian army used some vehicles of their own design: Turan tanks, Toldi light tanks, Zrinyi assault guns. Bronco has kits of the Turan 1, 2 and 3, and the Zrinyi 1 and 2. Hobby Boss has the Toldi light tanks (3 versions?), the 44M TAS tank and I believe there is going to be an assault gun version of the 44M TAS chassis. I forget the assault gun's name. The 44M TAS and it assault gun brother did not make it to production. I think Hobby Boss also made the Csaba 4x4 armored car.

You won't get more esoteric than this (I'm just building the 1/35 model bz dnepro model of this weird little tank.)

How is the quality of the Dnepro kit?

I'm very interested in the answer to that question also!

I think it is ok. There are some issues with the hull- it is somewhat warped, and the top parts have some fit issues. Not sure about the rest yet. I'll write up a review when it's done, but lately I have trouble finding time to build.

Star Decals/Bison Decals has some great sets for different tanks for Hungary in WWII.Some of the options even include a Tiger 1,various German panzers and I know of one Soviet tank also.

Thank you all for the info. I’ve checked out both the Hobby Boss and Bronco ones and it seems that the Bronco kits are slightly better equipped in terms of the parts and PE stuff that’s included.
I’m personally a huge fan of the Tiger I, but it probably wouldn’t stand out as much as a chiefly Hungarian vehicle (in terms of intentionally getting a purely Hungarian vehicle).

As you are interested in Hungarian stuff, check out this website -
https://sbsmodel.com/
They make a lot of aftermarket items for Hungarian vehicles.
The Hobby Boss 39M Csaba is a pretty cool armoured car . . . just a suggestion.
