My M151A1 is now ready for painting. As you can see I used a lot of parts form Eduard PE set. I scratchbuilt the new M60 machine gun pedestal and added seat at the back (from old half-built and painted Academy M151A2 MUTT).

It is looking good. Is that 1/35 scale? I can't wait to see it finished.

Yes, it's one of new Academy 1/35 M151s.

The cable from the radio set is too stiff. Can you not make it more supple?
I like the work so far......just a little point for you!!

I'm afraid I don't understand... There are no cables atached to the radio yet. I will add them later, after painting. I don't know what detail you noticed, but it is not a radio cable...

I can see how mistakes can be made, with these cameras with this flower mode, and the angle of the shot, on the third frame it sorta does look like a cable coming from the radio, it took me a while but isn't that a gun setting in the seat, that you took off the mount.
But at first glance it looks like a cable coming from the radio, it wasn't until I went back and forth to all the photo's to see what was setting in the seat, then I noticed the gun missing out of the mount, then I realized it wasn't a cable from the radio.
It makes it a lot harder when you move things around from frame to frame, like the gun setting in the seat, it doesn't look like a gun until you look a real long time.
I'm trying to figure out why, it might be our minds are used to seeing the gun in the mount, then when you moved it to the seat, we associated it with the radio mabe.
Cause Desert Fox wasn't the only one that thought that it was a radio cable.
Just my two cents

Great work there Pawel. Are those pedals PE parts? How did you do the gauges?

I removed the gun from the mount to make the mount itself more visible. I spent half a day making this mount look as close to the real thing as I was able to make it. It is made from 12 pieces of various styrene sheets, four pieces of thin aluminum sheet, three pieces of solder wire and 12 styrene bolt heads (slices of various styrene rods). And this all just to make the upper part that holds the gun - pedestal and its supports not included :-)

Yes, pedals are from Eduard PE set, but I had to cut them to pieces and reassemble a bit differently from how Eduard designed it, to make them resemble the real things more. Gauges are printed on a clear acetate (also from Eduard set) and painted on the back side red, yellow and white. Dashboard is PE part.

I know scratch building something that small is no easy feat, even with access to materials like you said, it still took you a half a day to build it. Shoot I've spent better then a week trying to find the right material to make something out of, so I know it can get hard to come up with the right combination, and I'm glad your able to show everybody else the work that is involved in scratch building. Your doing one fine job there Pawel, it will almost be a shame to paint over all that work you done.
