So far there are only a couple completed works in the campaign gallery. Don't forget, in order to get the ribbon at the end of the campaign you've got to post two pics of your completed project in the campaign gallery.

Back working on the Sherman Crab. Have annual leave in 2 weeks, but the wife is working, so I'm hoping for quality bench time..

Yeah, that's quality bench time!

Had some in the last 2 days.
Made some brass tube cutting, PE leftovers shaping and drilling and a lot of soldering(with more soldering to come).
All bridge halves struts are ready:


Bridge halves are temporarilly connected, I need to install plenty of wire roping between their quarters.

Here the bridge sits on top of the vehicle:



I'm slowly advancing and plan to be ready(fingers crossed) by year's end.

Well I need to take a serious rest now. Yesterday my right Knee collapsed.
Made a wrong move getting of my bike and bang! I went to hospital and came back with my leg packed.

Minimal of 2 week, then they might remove the pack to see what happened inside. I had a lot of pain yesterday, but medication works ok now
Will try to finish the model for this campaign, not sure if I make it in time, we will see.

Okay, an exercise in patience...


Followed by an exercise in discipline with glue application

Also spent time heating and reshaping the Legend resin. It came out better than I expected after I wrapped the resin in thick styrene strip which straightened it enough that a dip in boiling water pulled it almost perfect.

I still have to make a few pieces that just won't co-operate...

As you can see, a fair bit of putty needed in places - and these are the places you can see!!!

I just realised... I put the roller on backward! Those Brass rings should be on the opposite side....

Good news from Disaster Area Tambon Ban Klang - Ampur Mueng! (That's where I live) I'm gonna move the hobby downstairs so I can work in my kitchen and finish the Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausführung C in time.

I spent 2 days constructing the elements, that open the bridge:
-2 heavy duty ropes with harnesses
-4 spring-tensioned cables, that hold the harnesses in position to be engaged by the opening hook,
-4 pulleys for the cables above.

Tonight I started a test assembly for the lower part of the bridge(the one that rests on the vehicle in transport mode).

I mounted and fixed the heavy duty rope in its pulley systems.
Mounted 2 cable pulleys and run the spring-tensioned cables through them, then fixed the cables temporarily on the harness eyelets.
All this- while constantly taking care that the harness might be engaged by the opening hook.

It all worked well, and I took the chance to open the bridge by pulling the harness with a screwdriver.

And the bridge opened

Magic. Another level. Outstanding work Angel.

I've picked up the Sd.Kfz.251/7 Ausführung C and work in my kitchen now.
