Hi everyone
Im building the t-80u from xact models, and i just gave it its russian green base coat. I’m painting the three tone camouflage ( green, sand, black) I used modern russian green from ak interactive real colors line. However i’m not satisfied with the result, it looks nothing like on photos. Does anyone have any suggestions? Another brand maybe?
Thanks
Stef

You can try Tamiya's Field Grey. It's really green.

I use Vallejo Air 71.017 for my modern russian vehicles, it certainly looks the part to me.

Stef, great topic. I'm building the same model. Which sand or beige do you suggest?
Thanks André

I have just finished my T 80 U which can be seen on MBT Campaign and colours used are AMMO of MIG 083 for green, 061 for sand and Vallejo German grey for black.

The color you want to use for the "green" is RC100 - Russian gray green. It's actually similar to Tamiya Field Gray. Prime portal has a walkaround of a T-80 from some arms expo and RC100 is a perfect match to those photos.
