Here it is, you can find some older pictures in a thread about 2 weaks ago. When I'm in the mood, I'll make some cargo, like wooden crates and other woody stuff.

Looks great! I am about to build one as well. I am using the Verlinden update set, the steering kit and resin wheels. Any tips for the build?

Well, not really, everything goes together very well, I had no problems during the construction. It's basically very easy to build, suitable for beginners, but buits in a very nice model. With PE parts it should be perfect :-)
Hm, well, I've got one tip, you might want to fill two gaps with putty, look at the second photo under the side windows. I was too lazy to do that

Unborn.
Good effort on this model. I especially like the first pic showing the overall weathering on the vehicle, and the 4th pic showing your subtle shading in the storage area. The wood grab hook is very well done --- looks like the real deal.
As you mentioned in your writeup, some gear and storage will definitely raise your DUKW to the next level. Some dry brushing with lightened olive drab, (and perhaps a tad of rust), would really make some of the edges and high points snap. That's just me though, this is a good effort here, congrats.

Excellent work on your DUKW. I like your weathering with the overspray, something I have yet to perfect. Stowage and a payload will really show your kit off. Maybe a figure or 2 ?
Cheers !

Thank you guys...
Since this is only my 4th model (first three are 1:72) and my 2nd built with the help of Armorama (been here for three months and this is the result) I'll leave drybrushing and rusting for later models.
And you won't believe, this is my first airbrushed model, I never ABed before. I guess I'm a quick lerner
The shovel and the hook were painted flat black and then hightlighted with 2b pencil. The wooden sticks were painted yellow and then drybrushed with dark brown.

Only your 4th model??? Wow -- very nice.
I agree it could use some stowage. Also, you might want to paint the reflectors red. I notice you left off the bumpers from the corners. That's a relatively easy modification that makes your DUKW stand out from the crowd.

That is a great looking model. What did you colors did you use on the shovel and hook? They look very realistic.

Yes, indeed, you are a quick learner, by the way, how did you do the sand look? It looks quite soft, and if you would just try a little drybrushing it would look even better, it isn't that hard

Nice effort there and regarding its 4th model youre heading the good way !!!! i d only add some dusting to the shovel cause it has the metal look but seems last minute cleared comparing to the rest of the vehicle. Remarks about paint chipping rusting and all these are absolutely right but if you dont feel confiden, to "treat bad" this nice model experiment on some old stuff and come back some time !!!
Good job
