Here is my progress so far. Cool build, loads of interior detail for twenty bucks, but a lot of injector pin marks to clean up......

And the real thing....

Looking good. Which kit is this, Trumpeter? I like the basic interior detail, gives lost to grow on and improve.

Hey it's looking good. That engine was a beast. It really adds to the model. Are you going to leave the engine visible?

Thanks guys.

This is the Trumpeter kit. I don't have much in the way for reference on this vehicle, so I cannot really comment on the accuracy. However, the fit is good, the detail is sharp, and you get more than just a basic interior for about twenty bucks! You can't lose.

I will keep the engine visible for display and some of the turret and hull detail as well.

If you are thinking about buying this kit, I definitely recommend.

Stuke,

Looks like it's coming along nicely. I'm currently in progress on the Type89 Launcher, got the engine and some of the interior started. And I know what you mean about lack of refs, I couldn't find many for mine either. Look forward to seeing your progress on it.

Heer is some info on the Type 83. It is basically a copy of the Russian 2S3 152 howitzer. Lokks like I may have to get one, looks really good. Gotta love that SP Artillery!!!

All 3 kits in the series are pretty nice....I have the Type 83 and the Type 89 120mm AT gun as well...also the other in the series of the Chinese MLRS, all share the same lower hull, with just a different upper or turret.

All 3 have engine detail and all 3 have an interior, like Stuke says, for $20, you can't go wrong.
