My Overlord project is A Canuck Rider On Juno. Canadian troops landed on Juno Beach with their bicycles to reach Caen immediately. Maybe due to lack of material or maybe to travel faster;the front and back fenders, headlights,pumps and rubber parts of pedals were removed. As the canuck bike; I used the bicycle in the Italeri Schwimmwagen kit no.313. Looking to the reference photos FAUST sent me ; I scraped and sanded front and back fenders,headlight and pump. I changed the chain part of the bike using twisted copper wire and plasticard .I removed the rubber parts of pedals and added brake from streched sprue and copper wire.
All photos at my hand are b/w and I am planning to paint the bike in grey. Any color help will be appreciated much.Thanks
Here is some photos;

A shame that nothing can be done about the spokes, even PE wouldn't be any good here I don't think. When it's painted and on the base with rider they won't be that noticeable.
Good mods so far though, neat work in that size. The colour would have been khaki drab or dark green I think. For the saddle I would use a dark grey as I think it would have been made from a rubber compound looking at other civilian bikes from that period.

hiya engin.
the color would indeed be brownish or green.
and for the spokes a little sanding? they look wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to big.
maybe you can paint the saddle with matt black mixed with some grey to get a bit of rubberish look
