MiniArt: FW C30A HeushreckePosted: Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - 08:53 PM UTC
The Focke-Wulf FW C30A Heushrecke early production is an early auto giro that most have likely only seen in bond movies. I was torn as to if this belonged on Armorama but the 1/35th scale says to me that modellers of armour may have an interest. So look inside to see a little on this model.

Hi Darren,
I think this should also be posted on the Rotary Wing forum, possibly also some of the other aircraft forums.

I agree with Robin. What does this have to do with armor? I get that it is 1/35, but it should be posted on the Aeroscale Rotary Wing forum, not here.

Well that's a good question, isn't it? Why is this a 1/35 scale kit? My thoughts are that 1/35 is chosen if there is a good chance of displaying with armor, such as any heli used in Vietnam, for example. The MASH chopper would be good one for 1/35. I'm not familiar with this machine - is there a chance that would apply here?

Sure, it is in 1/35 so it can be displayed with 1/35 figures and vehicles. There are a bunch of 1/35 helicopters for this same reason. There are actually two different kits of the H-13 (Bell-47) M*A*S*H helicopter (one excellent - Academy, one not).
That still doesn't explain why it is in the Armor forum when it is not armor. This is not the 1/35 kits forum.

I have no issue with this news being published in the rotary wing section of Aeroscale, but that is up to Aeroscale staff to decide to publish. MiniArt has also requested that news such as this is published on Armorama which due to the scale I was happy to do.

I'm fine with the occasional, reasoned lapse.

The same objections, by the same people came up when Miniarts kit of the Avro was posted
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/278950#2347652
The responses and justifications were much the same. By the way Robin said "As well as". Can't see why you want to make an issue out of this.

No kidding.
I love how people rehash the same tired arguments. Whatever happened to just skipping past something you don't want to read.
Me, I think it's nice to see other items that might be in scale with some of my tanks.

The arguments they make are fair and reasoned and they should not be knocked for that. I have explained why I have done what I have and I would hope that they can accept my reasons for doing what I have.

Pardon the interruption on this great debate here but outside of the decals, is there any real change in the plastic offered? In my defense this question is pre first cup of joe but I don’t see any difference other than name and decals.
Please continue on with this fantastic debate.

I can see both sides of the argument. The question is: why was this thread moved to AeroScale then? Same manufacturer, same scale... https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/277241&ord=&page=1
...while this one wasn't moved to Model Shipwrights: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/265928&page=1

1. There wasn't any ship lovers asking for it and I didn't have the access rights to be able to move it anyway. Moving one of the tagged threads, News in this case, corrupts the tagging so I will not touch any of those.
2. The Triebflügel had been discussed in the Armour/AFV forum for a while and the discussion had started to go quiet so I thought that I might as well give the aircraft/helicopter folks a chance to discuss it. The discussion over in Rotary Wing didn't take off though ....

You're a brave man, Darren!
I could see this in a number of armour-related dioramas - either in service or on a captured airfield...

Provided he has a pair of binoculars in the other hand. And let's not forget the requisite map case. So much huff over nothing much...
