Well, i am getting closer. Time has been limited.
Hell, i had a new AB and compressor for almost 2 weeks before i finally tried em out.

Latest updates are:
liberal coat of mud on running gear.
1 wash / filter and drybushing.
I just need to do some final weathering on the top side, and complete the build.
obviously i must finish the running gear.
Just wanted to do an update and get some constructive critism.
Thanks marc.

Oh, i also need to weather the muffler.

Hi petro, I really like the way this is coming along. Hope to see more soon Is this the model that the box art shows a cube sitting ontop of the pz4 chassis? If it is it sure looks damn good all opened up like that. Keep posting. Cheers Kevin

Actually Kevin, the box art on the 3.7cm version has the armor down.
But Tamiya does make the quad 20mm Flakveirling Moblewagon also. I had just seen the box somewhere, but i do not recall if they had the armor up on this box.

It's looking very nice. I've got one on my shelf - this makes me want to pull it down and have at it.
IMHO - the deck is to clean of the redish mud. I'd expect some of the red color to be randomly placed on the working deck and gun too.

When you weather the muffler, try mixing in some cigarette ash with the rust paint to give it a flaked look.

It is looking great. Possibly paint the tracks on the front of the vehicle. Very impressive, keep us informed.

So, something i can do with all the Cig ash i make!!

It is funny you mention rust on the mufflers. I guess that these mufflers would rust out the same as any other ? I haven't seen too many models wit hthe PZ IV J late exhausts.
Any other tips?

For the exhaust pipes,I would extend the rust color down to the elbow coming out of the rear plate.

OK. Mufflers weathered. Tracks painted with dark brown then drybrushed with gunmetal gray. Something trackwise doens't seem correct.
Opinions please.

Thanks, Marc

Mobelwagen is coming right along Petro ! I like the weathering you did in the fighting compartment and rear engine deck. Why did you over-paint your camo scheme with all Dunkel Gelb ? Just curious. I think you could have salvaged it. Looks good anyway

Are you planing a crew for this ? If so, try Dragons Achtung Jabo ones. They are perfect for a "Moving Van".

Send more pics when you can.

Cheers !!

Hey there Alpen. I resprayed the Dunkelgelb becuase i wouldn't have been satisfied with the camo job. It would of killed my motivation.
As for the crew, I have the Warriors Mobelwagon Crew which consists of a gunner, loader and commander.

I had been waiting for this update. It was about time soldier :-) How did the JR barrel and Eduard PE parts work? As for criticism, there isn't much. Maybe hooks in the lowered walls of the compartment could use some weathering because they would be used a lot. It looks like there is some, maybe the picture doesn't do justice. You'll earn a tip of the hat if you can make a greasy hand print near one of them.

Hey Druid.
The JR barrel is excellent. For the most part the Etch is good. The instructions for the etch is confusing at times for me. As for the hooks, those are the etch ones. I should have used the kit ones, as they are not 2 dimensional as these are. I did skip some etch here and there, as i kind of suck at it. :-) The Axe hold down was out of scale (or maybe it was the axehead). All in all though the etch is nice.
Right now i am working on the figs for this. The gunner must be in place before i finish all the gun assembly.
But of course, i ran into some problems.
Time to do some hacking.
Will update soon .
Marc
