HI,
Can someone explain to me what's about the radiator cooling device in certain T-55 tanks? I am working on the Miniart T-55A Late with interior. As I also have the CMK engine set of which I use certain parts to fill up the gap at the back (which Miniart does not provide). But, the radiator cooling device is not in the kit.
So, what's it about?
My lay-put:
The radiator I mean:
Thx.

It works like any other radiator. It sits horizontally above the transmisssion. Air is pulled in through the larger, more forward screens and exits the thinner, rear screens, thus pulling the heat out of the radiator fluid as it goes through. A fan is located in the right rear of the hull that pulls the air in.

It is not on some T55 tanks it is on all T55 tanks, and it is not a radiator it is a pair of radiators. The large one you see cools the engine coolant, it is sprung on a torsion bar to allow it to be lifted by one person. Beside it on the left side of the hull is a smaller square one that cools the oil.
This picture shows the two of them from the front. The Blue one is the engine coolant radiator, the smaller red on on the right of the picture is the oil cooler.
I highly recommend the Tankograd site for all the info you may want on the T54/55 and most other post war soviet tanks.

Ctrl F and look for "radiator" or "coolant". The article has some images and diagrams on the placement of those.
Miniart T-54/55 kind of disappointed me for not adding the transmission and radiator.

I think the top picture might be missing a few extraneous parts.

Thanks Guys for the info!
Yep! Doesn't add up to the ' full interior' slogan... I am disappointed too.
