Hi Ronald ..it has been a while since I've seen you on the sight ...I see you have been busy...Your stugs look great ,but I'm so used to seeing you build things that tow others ..Will the A be towing the B?.....One thing the crew in your stug A should be wearing field grey uniforms instead of black...They prided themselves in having their own uniforms and being distinquished from the tank forces.

Hey Ronald,
The Stugs look excellent but some more detailed, larger photos would be better.

Ron, you are a master when it comes to detail and scratching for your builds---both these are so so impressive.
You really get some depth with your painting/weathering--great looking vehicles! These builds are very clean--love the wood handles on the tools, the paint job on the figs, and the chain across the back deck on the "A", nice touch ----> if you ever run out of space to display your models, I'll send you my address--I'd love to show them off!
Well done (as usual).
There is an active thread on the site right now about "master modelers"--I think I'm looking at one's work right now---congrats.

Very nice work on both of your Stug III's. On the Ausf B; why did you build it "buttoned up", while you did the Ausf A open with crew ? Both look fantastic. I think if you add some bare metal to the tracks, you will have a couple show-stoppers !! Excellent work

I agree with Steve – those are show stoppers! What a great job you did weathering and accenting the pieces.
I too noticed the wood handles straight off. I’ve tried several paints and methods, but my wood handles never come out looking that good. They are painted, aren’t they?

Hi Mike, yes they are painted and the way I do it is verry simpel.
Basecoat Tamiya panzer yellow and finnished it with burnt sienna (wash) or raw umber(wash)
The A version was done with the sienna wash but I like the Umber version more for a wood color.

Ron, thank you very much for that. I haven’t tied that method before, but it is printed out and sitting next to my new project. I am anxious to give it a try. Thanks again.
